SUZEE WATERS BENJAMIN (SUCHI WB) is an artist deeply committed to the transformative powers of the co-creative process whether in the visual arts, music, healing arts, or arts education. Suchi renewed her dedication to the art of painting after moving with her family from Nashville, Tennessee to Maui, Hawaii in 1999.

Suchi received her formal education in Fine Arts at Stephens College, SMU, and University of Colorado. While in Boulder, she had the good fortune to study with renowned ceramicist, Betty Woodman, which led her into a twenty-five year career as a potter/ceramicist. Her one-of-a-kind Raku clay vessels and shields have been shown throughout the US and Canada in galleries, juried shows, solo and group exhibitions. Benjamin’s ceramics have been selected for special recognition in exhibits at Bloomingdales, New York, NY; Neiman Marcus Fortnight Exhibit, Dallas, Texas; the Governor’s Mansion in Nashville, TN; Cheekwood Museum, Nashville, TN; national juried shows sponsored by American Craft Council and numerous private collections.

Dedicated to arts education, Benjamin founded two nonprofit arts organizations, The Children’s Arts and Ideas Foundation, Dallas, TX & Nashville, TN to provide creative arts programs for children. As an artist, Suchi has participated in countless artist-in-residence programs in schools, hospitals, and private settings. As an educator, she has extensively developed arts curriculum for adults and children of all ages.

Suzee performed lead and background vocals in Nashville recording studios for music publishing companies and record labels in the 80’ & 90’s.  As a singer/songwriter and independent artist on SOULO Records,  she collaborated with producer/musician, Kirby Shelstad, to create The Waters Edge CD of her original songs. With the 2005 release by Backroads Music of the “Heart of Innocence CD” produced by Lloyd Barde, Benjamin's voice and music was showcased with ten other internationally acclaimed female artists. Suzee co-produced with her husband, singer/songwriter, Tom Benjamin, Beauty’s at the Mercy of This World, a CD of his original songs.

As a Healing Arts practitioner for over 25 years, Suchi’s gift for intuitive counseling and hands-on healing led her to establish the Center for Co-Creative Living in 2000 on Maui as a home base for her work as an artist, teacher, and healing arts facilitator. Through CCL, individual healing sessions and group classes are offered based on the principles of Keylontic Science, the Kathara Healing System, and the Twelve Responsibilities of Spiritual Mastery as well as paintings and music infused with these principles. Suchi WB is a certified Kathara Bio-Spiritual Healing Facilitator and Instructor with additional training and certifications in cranial sacral therapy, Integral Yoga, sound healing, energy medicine, and intuitive counseling.

"It feels natural to me to have different forms of creative expression cycle through my life like the seasons exemplifying the unity within diversity.  The Spirit of Aloha is the ultimate teacher when learning to ride the waves of this process with respect, dignity, and grace.
